MiniMax Music on MusicFX turns lyrics you write plus a short style prompt into one complete song, sung and arranged by MiniMax Music 3. You paste the lyrics, put section tags like [Verse] or [Chorus] on their own lines, describe genre, mood, and voice, and set a maximum length of up to 300 seconds. Music 3 returns one track as a WAV file, saved to My Music, and we also try to keep a backup copy in our storage. Here the models are reached through an API, so they work differently from MiniMax's own app: on Music 3, lyrics are always required and there is no instrumental-only mode. The page's model menu also offers MiniMax 2.6, which can write lyrics from your prompt or make an instrumental for a flat 15 credits a song, with no length setting. MusicFX at musicfx.net is an independent AI music site that offers MiniMax Music 3 and MiniMax 2.6 in its song generator, connected through an API. This page is not an official MiniMax product, and MusicFX is not affiliated with MiniMax.
Yes for Music 3: on this site it needs both lyrics and a style prompt for every request and will not write lyrics for you. Section tags such as [Verse] must sit alone on their own line; a request with a tag inside a lyric line is rejected, so your words are never changed silently. If you leave the lyrics out, MiniMax 2.6 in the same menu writes them from your prompt.
On Music 3, the length you set is a maximum of up to 300 seconds, with 60 seconds as the default. The finished song can run shorter than that limit, and each request returns one song. MiniMax 2.6 has no length setting.
On Music 3, pricing follows the requested length: a 60-second song costs 12 credits, and the generator shows the exact price before you press Generate. MiniMax 2.6 costs 15 credits per song. If the model reports a failed generation, the credits come back to you.
Access starts on the Basic plan. On lower plans the model card stays visible with a lock icon, and selecting it opens an upgrade option instead of starting a generation.
